Online classes are rapidly becoming a more popular and accepted option among many students. Another article says that in 2014, â€Å"an additional 411,000 students enrolled in their first online course increasing the total number of online students in the U.S. to 7.1 million,† a 6.1 percent increase from the number of students enrolled in the year of 2012 (Vista College). This article also states that â€Å"one out of every three higher education students ha s at least one online course; an all-time high† (Vista College). This recent increase in the popularity of online classes may have been caused because of advances in and increased use of technology, the accessibility and convenience of online classes and the flexibility they provide, and because online classes allow the student to work at his/her own pace.
